Riverview Gardens was selected as an AmeriCorps host site in partnership with the Weight of the Fox Valley.
We are looking to fill our AmeriCorps member position for the 2019-20 calendar year, beginning September 3, 2019. During this time, members will serve in a full-time capacity of 1,700 hours (average 33 hours/week). Members will receive a living allowance during their year of service and an education award to pay off student loans or tuition costs after successful completion!
Our AmeriCorps member serves as our Community Engagement Specialist. This member is responsible for recruiting and engaging community volunteers, engaging with youth to identify health education opportunities and teaching and training program participants and volunteers about sustainable, healthy food systems through daily interactions on the farm.
