Chopped: Farm to Fork to Work. is a unique event that challenges local professional and celebrity chefs to prepare creative dishes in just 30 minutes using a surprise group of ingredients grown and sourced by Riverview Gardens.
This year’s event didn’t disappoint and our amazing chefs were up to the challenge.
Our Celebrity Chefs were given a basket of ingredients including Riverview Gardens tilapia, black beans, fresh tomatoes and granny smith apples. Our winner – Jay Bush, BUSH’S Baked Beans Brand Ambassador – created a delicious course of tilapia (lemon juice, pine nuts, peanut and pistachio oil, salt, pepper, a little lime zest sautéed firm) served in lettuce wraps with BUSH’S Best Black Bean & Corn Salsa (click here for salsa recipe).
Nea Hahn, Whisk & Arrow – is our Professional Chef Champion! Professional Chefs had to be creative to make a beef tenderloin and pair it with kiwi, cannellini beans and zucchini. Nea came through with something tasty and more! She made a herb marinated beef filet AND pasta made from scratch in just 25 minutes!
